It is time for me to let go one of my V-Due Evoluzione II. Still NEW with only 10 manufactured test miles, No gas in the tank, Battery not hooked up but will prep for the buyer. Not a single imperfection. Comes with new US MSO! You will be the first owner!
This bike is not like any other V-Due that bankrupted Bimota for its defect. You can ride this bike reliably. Not more than 22 2004 Evoluzione 04 and only one is still NEW. The new release of new and improved V-Due were not plan to be street legal, this one is.
The Evo 04 is equipped with much improve DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) and not those cheap carburetor version. Exoticness
Cost me big bucks to bring one here especially that US MSO. Looking to get $32K or trade for something mint and rare. _________________ 2SMOKE |

Sounds right and straight.........right up to the point that he mentions its got fuel injection.........
Piero bought all the Vdue stock circa 2000 when Bimota went bump.....re-engineered for Carbs...then the Trofeo corse race series then carb versions and road versions of that......but all his fuel injected stock that he sold right up until this year (non left now) had some mods but werent called evolution...and under his own words werent as good as carbed versions......but then I suspect if the fellow in US has a title for this bike then he may have to have had it changed back to fuel injection to pass emissions.........or has an original Injection that hes trying to pass off as a modded Evo series.........Evidently here in goold old blighty we dont have emission tests for 2-strokes so can run and pass on carbs |

Hi 2bims, yep that's the same conclusion I came too. It did make me think though. What with Suter's new 500 injection an Rotax's whether Piero may go for it again, especially as those bikes are 80k plus. _________________ 2SMOKE |

As 2Bims says the injection was not called Evoluzione , only the carb ones were, although the re-worked injections did get alot of the evoluzione mods and a remap . They are fixed to a point( still have ECU memory storage issue's), but Yes , in Piero's words they are not the ones to have, and even he sells them for less than the carbed ones.
On my visit last year Piero did mention making some 'SUPER' vdues , and I put my name down , but when I saw him 6 month's ago he said they would not happen.
He has no complete bikes other than his own personal ones now , and is missing a lot of running gear and small bits to make any more. Engine parts and frames etc he has . Fuel tanks/switch gear/wheels/forks/yokes/electric components etc , he has none.
He is concentrating on getting his Bimota museum up and running now . |
