I have bought Gee Kay's Tesi and need to make an exhaust, can anyone tell me the diameter of the down pipes? Cheers

congratulations! Hope you keep us informed about the progress.

I can measure the pipes for you. But I think the racebike had larger diameters. If you want to go for standard diameters, why don't you by a header from Bimota Classic Parts? Paolo has the later two pieces header system available which was introduced with the SR. That should be much easier.

Wait... Geekay first wanted to use a 996 engine. Which engine do you want these headers for? Will you use the original 851 base? Paolo also has the 68 mm crank available, which was used for the 904 ccm engines and also for the racebike (probably modified).

Tell me if I should measure the pipes for you.

Hi yes its got the 996 engine, will probably get a mate to weld up something similar to standard Tesi twin pipe outlet, just wanted a start position in the thinking.

The header twin pipes have an outer diameter of 35 mm, coming to one with 45 mm. The muffler pipes have a diameter of 50 mm.
