It came out looking absolutely stunning! I like the rear seat cowl. It really makes it stand out from other bikes.

Hello Desmo....Where you been? Glad to see you back again anyhow....updates please...bikes, guns, painting, wife on the road to recovery...although not necessarily in that order of priority........

I chose a different single seat unit from the standard superlight...prefer the narrow R6/851/888 rear end with slimline tail light....Bike is now registered, tested and on the road...jsut waiting for a bit warmer weather...may need to refinish the seat pad though...bit thin...crushes my legs up on the standard pegs...so an extra inch or so in depth would be appreciated....

Well its been a couple of years....and the pup is still around and until recently had been languishing at the back of the garage.....well until yesterday when it came back out and had a slap and tickle with the old duster and polish.....just in time for the photographer from Practical Sportsbikes to come round and take a rake of photos ready for its inclusion in next months edition........ Laughing

Early shots of bike done by the photographer certainly shows up the difference between a pro and a mere amateur.......

Well.......its been a full three months since Practical Sportsbikes did an article on the Old pup 900ss.........and seeing as it took that long for them to finally get the time to send me through the photos they took....I though I'd share a few of them with you.....tis nice to have a professional around taking piccies....far better job done of it than I could ever achieve with my box brownie.......
A total of 156 photos taken and each one at around 12megabytes resolution...although not all shown here...Photobucket would blow a cog or two if I tried to upload them all... Shocked

Pity about the black mirrors....(just joking Very Happy )

very nice for the record and reflect the extensive work you put in (and attention to detail!)

I do like the alloy exhaust 'collars' but you wouldn't see them much on a faired DB2.

I should have bought a few more pairs of those collars....nicely turned out in billet and they came with copper finishing nuts as well....the originals were rotted through and the half moon collats were rotted to dust so much so that the headers were rattling loose......came from the same German company that the seat unit and bikini fairing came from..

Almost forgot...the cylinder heads and barrels were stripped and gloss black coated by Camcoat in Warrington also...a nice job done and no more peeling of paint.......

The bike is top... nice pictures too... I love the look without side panels and monoposto seat. But I wonder how can you resist to cut the air filter cover and mount K&N filter? Smile
