my db 5 reached the mark where service is needed and is displaying the red "tool sign" how can i kill it?

If it's the Koso gauge as on the Tesi, here is the solution from forum member Waggy:
Basically start the engine and then hold in the start button for 15 seconds and the light should go off, don't do it why you are on the move as it will start the lap timer. Hope that works. |

Yup thats correct....engine running, bike stationary...press and hold the start button (not kill button) and eventually it will go off...it works off the mileage and not the ECU....so comes on at staged mileage intervals....must be a Koso clock gauge as the earlier clocks had no service symbol.. |
