Hi

Isn't the oil cooled engine a bit bulkier than the water cooled one?

All the best

Keith

Yes it is Keith. I've just dropped the frame onto the engine and I think I'm going to need a bigger hammer Laughing

There's not a lot in it but I will definitely need to modify the frame to get an oiled cooled motor in there.

Laughing What about a gsxr 1000 motor and front end? K1 to K4 are relatively cheap lumps to get hold of and the motor is much smaller in size I guess? Question

Just a thought but in the interest of tradition such as the Triton, Norvin, etc... maybe we could start by calling it a Bimuki? Or Bimonda, or even Bimaha, Bimasaki! My particular favourite would be Bimucati which is the only non jap bike and sounds like a bit part in Shogun! Twisted Evil

The older engines have vertical barrels, the modern stuff has them at a angle which might cause more problems than it solves

The reason I'm going with the oil cooled 1100 lump is I know them, I like them and most importantly.......I've got one lying around Laughing
Besides, this is the engine I think Bimota should have used in the SB6

I was thinking of slightly later GSXR front end. They come with radial brakes but I'll use what i can get hold of for the right price Wink

I originally thought it should be called a Bimuki too but further thinking brought me to the conclusion it should be called a Bimota as it's being built just like they built them...........bitsa style Laughing

Why not look for something like Duke 999 running gear and I think the Suzuki TL1000R had a similar position for the the shock as the SB6
