Hello to everybody!
Sorry for my poor english.

Could some of specialists who use this forum see my question?
Some time ago I bought a BB1. Yesterday had seen on right side of bike near rear stop lever tube and had seen what from this tube out waste oil.
I called to seller and he said that this is specialty of all BB1. From this tube out waste oil. And some owners use a little tank for this waste oil.
My friend who use BMW 650GS with same engine told me what see it first time in life and never seen before and from his bike waste oil not going out and bike dry.

Is my situation is correct and it is specialty of BB1 or I have some problems?

The tube comes from the top of the oil tank. Take off the tank/ seat cover and you will see. The oil gets foam on top and this comes out of the (breather) tube. I have a small bottle to collect the overflow. Do NOT put too much oil in the tank and run the engine before you put oil in it so you get the proper running level.
Also the battery sits in the middle of the tank so does not last a long time due to heat from the oil Sad
hope that helps
Nigel

Thank you very much for answer Nigel!
Which bottle you use to collect the overflow? I'm trying to find something more suitable for this, but in my place it is very difficult .
Alex.

Hi Alex
I use a small bottle I buy cooking spices in! Any 100ml bottle will do it.I fix the bottle under the seat and have put a long tube from the oil tank. As I say the important thing is not to overfill the tank 😄

Little bit more oil needed, but run the bike first to get the oil from inside the engine into the tank for sure. If I get a chance I will send you a picture of my bottle
Very Happy Very Happy

Hello Nigel!
Today I remove cover from bike and I saw that pipe going from engine not from oil tank.
I make a photo and mark this place by yellow square.
How you think it is correct?
