Am debating about getting a DB7
Apart from the great positives about the bike, what pain is there in owning such an exotic bike?
In particular the bespoke electronics and other special Bimota wear parts
Will it be a B1tch to keep going
The bike I am looking at is a low milage (4k km) built in 2010 and registered in 2013. From what I know, I need to confirm that. |

When I first saw my DB5R in a glassed in room at the dealers used bike shop I knew I had to have it, secondary considerations be damed!
There have been some "issues" but I don't care, I love this bike!! _________________ Spike C.

I've put 2500 miles on my DB7 over the last 18mths.
It is one of the best Bimota's I have . It even works in the rain !!!!
I am 6 ft 85kilo's and it fits like a glove. Seat is firm, as is suspension , few clicks here and there helps sort suspension but its always going to be track bias , saying that I can do full tank mileage with no need to stop .
Only real down side is it makes you twist the throttle, you can't help it , its like the devil on your shoulder
Electrics are up to modern day standards, quality wise , but the ECU is a different system to Ducati with very little to no factory backup . But then how often does an ECU go wrong ????
Consumables and general chassis running gear are off the self top notch stuff so easily available, bodywork is unobtainable or costs a fortune, so don't drop/crash it.
That aside , you only live once, go out , buy it , ride it , love it . |
