Just purchased a YB7. Its got some 15000km on it but I doubt that its true. Bought it from a bike wrecker so I am sure its a bitsa.

I need to initially change all the consumables. Does anybody know what the airfilter from a YB7 came from? Its not from a FZR400

I want to find a local supply, but if not I guess I'll buy fromBimota Classic Parts

Try asking Laminator he's got one.
The engine is a FZR400R SP 2TK they were a 1987 only bike

Hi, to be honest I can't remember where they are from. I'm taking the fairing off this week to give my carbs a clean in my new ultrasonic tank. While i'm there i'll have a look to see if there are any numbers on my filter.

Hello,

I'm told a Guzzi California 2 filter is the same but haven't tried it myself,

Cheers, MikeJ

Well i can answer my own question. I managed to take the air box out and the filter has a part number on it. It is indeed the air filter for a Moto Guzzi 1000 made in the 80s and beyond. It seems to be a pretty common filter for MG
Anyway a bit of a google search uncovered that K&N do a filter (part number MG-0001) which is a replacement. there are other brands available
The original MG part number is 28113660
