If this is a HDB1:
what is this one?
It has the same 500cc twin cylinder, 4 carb Aermacchi Harley Davidson motor yet it looks older. Twin shock frame with a different layout. Is it a HDB0? |

It looks like a HDB2. It seems that the HDB1 & 3 had one rear shock absorber, whereas the HDB2 had 2 |

Aaah, OK, I didn't know there was a HDB2 or 3. But it's funny that the orange bike (HDB2?) looks older than the HDB1.
A bit of a search around shows that the HDB1 was a 500cc two cylinder Harley motor with 4 carbs. The frame was a single shock trellis frame with co-axial swingarm pivot.
The HDB2 was a twin shock cradle frame 250 with a Harley two cylinder twin carb motor. But then this bike in the next photo appears to be a 350 judging by the blue number board. The fairing says it's a HDB2 so maybe it is.
The HDB3 was a single shock trellis frame co-axial pivot frame like the HDB1 but with a 350 Harley twin carb motor.

The orange bike in the picture is none of these models as it has the 500cc twin cylinder 4 carb HD engine in what looks like a HDB2 250cc double cradle twin shock chassis. Could it be a one-off or a home-made conversion? |
