Ohlins SB8 shock, just serviced by Steve Jordan motorcycles (paperwork to prove), who indicated that it showed minimal use/wear. I had hoped that it could be used on a 6R, but it doesn't fit and cannot be made to (different body).

Would give you an excuse to get your existing one serviced, as you could bolt this on in replacement and then operate a relay system. I'm looking for £500(service cost £148) + p&p. The latter is probably prohibitive for sending overseas. I'm told that a new one would cost around £1000, if you could get one.

That's a downer ... I was half thinking it might fit my 6 but obviously not.

Hi Chuckie

The reservoir hose exits due north on the 8, whereas the hose exits down the line of the shock on the 6, necessitating an angled exit point to avoid fouling the spring. I bought the angled head only to discover that it screws into the body, whilst the one on the 8 screws on to the outside of the body. Whilst it didn't pan out, I will take this opportunity to big-up Steve Jordan Motorcycles (Leatherhead), who got a new head from Ohlins and were very knowledgable/professional throughout. They are a top outfit and I would recommend them to anybody in the South East for all things motorcycle, including dyno testing. Very good people indeed.
