Jesus Gavin, are you planning to go extra-terrestrial with this thing?
Can't wait to see the photos.
Good luck mate! _________________ 1998 Bimota DB2 edizione finale naked

HHHmmmmm...photos, I have to admit I have more problems with up- loading these,
than with calculating movement via the theory of linear expansion.
I don't attempt auto electrics or wiring either .....that is Satan's work
other than that it fairly basic...what could go wrong?
regards

Weed....I take your point, it took VeeTwo a good few attempts to get theirs running in an reliable fashion...
they finally resorted to driving the S/C system from a modified clutch basket.
David's Commandini poured over the Bimota system since 2008 until he left in June 2016.
. even he says it is not an easy task, but regardless of this the project is going to be attempted.
So far a complete DB7 mule frame is heading for the UK and the Diavel engine arrived just before Santa in Dec.
.Bimota Classic Parts have sent some missing bits and I had a DB7 tank, seat and exhaust in the garage.
There was also a deal to be done on the injectors, air box and loom all from the same donor and although I will not be using the air box it gives me somewhere to put my coffee and vernier whilst working things out.
The 10 and 12mm thick aluminium has arrived and this weekend I marked out the new belt covers to take the pulley assembly and outrigger units.
Just waiting for Australia to indicate whether we have a trade agreement or whether Brexit has screwed that option as well.
.....let's hope for a good ness email from DJT 77
My 'what can go wrong' comment is more of a life statement, I'm afraid and not really a question.
...not every one walks to the beat of the same drum,
Owning a Bimota is a testament to that.

We may have the start of a tale......an even better one if
DJT 77 gets a good response from Australia......SprintexSupercharger
We now have the ......
Wheels
Discs
DB 7 fuel tank
DB 7 frame and swing arm the red one
Carbon belly pan
Forks and radial brakes
Rear shock absorbers (extreme & Matris)
Wiring loom
Ducati Diavel Engine
Injection system
And a host of new bits from Bimota Classic parts to finish a rolling chassis
What we don't have is OEM fairing lights or ecu...likewise the dash is missing and the side stand...just need to lean it against the wall...
so anyone out there with any spare missing bits...please feel free to for up for sale,
although it has been discussed to go the Diavel Ecu route and fly by wire rather than the DB7/8/9 ecu
and loom as these never seem to come up for sale...UNLESS you know any different
Everything is in bits and some bits are from other DB 7/8/9 and have never been fitted together..
.....there is a project here......I am sure of it....
So.....if Vort28 ...does not get his contact, in Italy, to sell me the DB11VLX..
l will just have to build my own!
Regards
