Depends on country and language used for me...only one I begrudge is bimoto.... As it misses the importance of Ta.. Murine....I suppose...Bee....mo....ta.....as that's correct for branching....morris...and tambo...the original founders...as an italian would pronounce their surnames...

I once checked with an "English" linguist and I was told that Bimota would be pronounced : BEE-MOE-TAA

...for what it's worth, I generally say " Bim-O-ta.

However, I should just say my SB6R is a Ducati, because that is what everyone thinks it is, even after I tell them it is a Bimota. Because it's red, I guess... Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I'm off to see my Italian friend who works for Do-Cat-Ee tomorrow and I'll write Ducati and Bimota on a piece of paper and get him to pronounce both....But....he is from deep south Italy and been in England for some 10 years now in Manc land.....and as he says...the north and the south of Italy have totally different dialects and pronunciation....so really...we need to locate a born and bred resident of Northern Italy where Ducati and Bimota have always been based...who speaks no other language and has never left the country and had his own dialect and mother tongue tainted by outside influence...My tuppeny worth though is that the yanks like to make everything sound like they invented it...It being the English language that they purport to speak...Ahem.... Shocked No offence Bimota-rider of Utah.... Wink

It's like when the Moto GP announcers call Lorenzo Horgai.. The fact that the Spanish pronounce J as a H, doesn't mean we all have to Smile

My wife and I found this...
We found it very funny...
BTW: We pronounce our T's and is a pet peeve when Americans lazily drop them for D's.

Enjoy: LOL Very Happy

p.s. 2Bims, we always say Brits speak "English"
...everyone else has an accent.
We are still unsure what the Scots and Ire's speak....LOL Shocked Very Happy
