Usual post, that time of year again, trying to drum up support, moral, mental or physical for our usual bimota forum slot at next year's Manchester Bike show at Event city. The organisers have confirmed we have been accepted to again attend, for the fifth year running, so we mustn't have been that bad in the previous shows. Physical size of stand to be allocated in Feb 2017, but again, all past attendees welcome, new or old blood or indeed any newbies are welcome...set up day is Friday 24th March as usual....and I can provide the odd space for overnight stays...3 free tickets for anyone displaying a bike at the show.....would be nice to see new blood, as well as the old codgers that have previously shown up....hopefully if we can all make it through another winter intact...

Well"......having thought about it and bearing in mind that the end of March is usually poor weather in the U.K, what else is there?
Don't know what I'll bring, but count me in for at least one bike.
Regards

Your efforts were much appreciated at the show this year, and the vyrus was a bit of a hit to say the least, joining us again would be greatly appreciated, as would a db9.... We've a fellow with a db3 that's local, and one with a db10 that's local, so we could manage a Db1, Db2, db3, db4, db5, Db6, db7, db9 and db10....as well as a couple of promised tesi's... And hopefully others with yb"s, sb's etc...would be good to have our largest turnout ever...never quite eclipsed 20 Bims at once... |

Nice man Paolo Girotti of BimotaClassicParts has once again kindly offered to send some merchandise to advertise his wears for us to hand out at the show....if anyone is interested in purchasing any BCP mugs, T-shirts, wine, keyfobs etc...let me know and I can get a group package sent ...to be collected by persons that attend the show......
Hoping for our biggest line up this year ever....hopefully to include 20 or more Bimotas...with the odd new person/vehicle attending this year......Usual wine and biscuits to be given out to any attendees....snacks and drinks provided to stand sitters/managers etc....the last event being well attended on the stand itself allowing all of us some free time to actually see the rest of the show... |

Yeh....we're kind of lucky to have the Event for the Show close to me...less than 3 miles away. Some 5 years ago they started this as a mixed venue for the main dealers to show their bikes and have the public jump all over them....and also a Classic Bike arena also with various stands for apparel etc etc...the Classic part now makes up some 2/3rds of the event so you get all types down there....the big four jap dealers are down, as are Triumph, Ducati and KTM and MV Agusta and Moto Guzzi have been down previously.
Most New bike events are Down south around London or Birmingham and this Northern one is the only one that combines modern and classic.......We first visited, myself and 2 other Bimota owners, 5 years ago and asked if we could do a club stand for Bimotas the following year, and fortunately they agreed and have allowed us to be included in each successive year since. We had tried previously to attend with bikes to another well known Classic Show for bikes...but were turned down...it can all get a bit fussy and clicky in the UK....Dead mans shoes and all that...so we try to be on our best behaviour so that they allow us back each year
Evidently mainly through this FOrum others have chipped in from far and wide to attend....space is granted for free as we are a club...of sorts....and the organisers know that special bikes and classic stuff also pulls punters in through the doors.....Free tickets for attendance are given to all those that exhibit at least one bike...fortunately, within a 50 mile radius of the venue and my home...I know of at least 50 Bimotas owned by Forum members so each year we try and grow and encourage more to come down...whether it be supporting the brand, or just talking Bimota chat for 2 days, we all seem to enjoy it....and those that are on here that make their way down with or without a BImota are always welcome |

Hi Steve, got the Bim stripped at moment, trying to get the suspension sorted out. Trying Maxton but they are not returning calls, might have a look at the Matris solution. Do you have any contact numbers for them. I will keep you appraised. Hopefully should be able to bring "Baby Bim"

Its been suggested to me that we should get some t-shirts made for the stand go-ers .
Previously I have got things made up.
The last lot were the best quality , and I have already paid for the templates etc and the place is just down the road from my house ( previous cheap internet stuff has well be CHEAP CRAP )
Anyway , these are the only pictures I currently have.
Artwork can be applied to any garment in their range , stuff we got last time is the contrasting clothing.
Let me know if interested and I can get better pictures .

I'll slot in a photo of the adult ones you also had made up with crew cut neck as opposed to button collar...which had white beading and a vertical black BIMOTA down the left side front, subtley done
I wont be modelling the T-shirt though...just flat on a table...cant and haven't ever been able to match the cuteness of your sprog mate
Can vouch for the quality, thickness, correctness of UK sizing contrasted to Italian sizing..and stands up well to my haphazard laundry skills... |
