Hello".......
Another spares package arrived some new OEM Bimota stuff straight to me via the factory.
As of 4 th May....life was still visible at Bimota.
More news from Rimini last Friday....another factory in close proximity to the existing one has been acquired.
All spares delayed until after the factory move (scheduled to be completed by early July)
....so I guess they are not only signs of life but also a new kind of impetus....
in as much as someone is putting pen to paper regarding a news factory
Regards

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few months
I'm still away at work and get home on July 2nd - the bike is in Oz and will be delivered to the Ducati dealer in Noosa who will register it for me.
Not so sure I'm that keen on the black frame look, what were they thinking? Obviously no one at Bimota bothers to read the cautionary notes on their medications .
I'll have to get some wrap around sun glasses, sleeveless "wifebeater" tee shirts and a WW2 Nazi helmet to look the part.
Anyhow, as soon as I get the bike I'll post pictures here. But it does look like Bimota seems to getting another lease on life. Good news hey! |

OK.. The good news..
The Tesi 38/40 is now at my local Ducati dealers for registration etc. My wife has actually seen it. I am still in China.
I must admit to it being a stressful few months as I had paid in full for the bike, sight unseen and no actual physical contact with the importer - everything was done by email.
I'm happy to report a happy ending
Tried to access the Bimota web site just now and.. nothing |

Steve,
That article sums up perfectly what happens to any business when you let the "bookkeepers" make poor business decisions. No offense to any bookkeepers out there but you should stay with what you know and not ruin a good thing.
Per Dirty Harry, "A man's got to know his limitations." |

OAN, I finally get to the point where I can afford a gently used Bimota and then the factory closes. Typical...
You guys have far greater investments in the brand than I do and while I love to look at the DB6 as much as ride it, I hope Bimota gets resurrected by a talented, caring group of people, perhaps its former engineers with financial backing from a silent but wealthy "enthusiast". |

I couldn't believe that either. Ditch AMG to get in bed with current investors... _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Apparently, AMG did just get the 25% of the company bu putting poney and did norhing else after that.
They didnt took part in any project or tried to participate somehow... i've read that in a interview of Castiglioni last year, but thats just his words. |
