|
|
I`ve just rebuilt my YB 11 engine and fitted it with a YFZ 750 6 speed gearbox.Anyone done the same mod ? if you have what did you do about changing the sprockets. At the moment i still have the original 17/46 set up, i think i need to reduce the rear. Had a look at the ratios in the yamaha book to see what the difference is between the 750 and the 1000, with a bit of calculations i think i need to go down to a 41 rear. But if anyone know different please get in touch.
Thanks. _________________ Bimota YB11 |

My YB11 has a similar mod, not one I did but the original owner had it done along with a lot of other engine work.
I can have a look at the weekend at what sprockets it has. |

Mine is 17/46 but the engine has had A LOT of tuning work , cam's , pistons, lightened/balanced, heavily ported etc , can't remember exact rear wheel BHP, but can maybe pull different gearing. |

I would have thought 17/41 would be massively tall. 15/45 is what I run on my FZR1000 race bike at a fairly short track.
I wouldn't have thought putting a 6 speed box in your engine would effect the final ratio very much?
