|
|
Hello everyone,
I apologize in advance for my english not really correct.
As you see, I'm writing from italy, And I'm the owner of one DB7 SP.
More and more insistent and pressing voices say the bimota has failed.
Recently, the historical site of "Giaccaglia" street in Rimini has been moved to another area (Always in Rimini), but there is no production or even warehouse.
The website is not updated for a long time, if you call on the phone nobody answers, spare parts can not be ordered directly in bimota.
These "items" are also confirmed by people who are in direct contact with the company (Suppliers, sellers, ducati mechanics etc.) .
The only person who can find some spare parts is "Girotti Paolo" of "Bimota Classic Parts" from "Cittą della Pieve (PG)" But he is not part of the official Bimota, it is a single organ.
Unfortunately, he also fails to repair all spare parts (For example, can not find a plexiglass for my db7).
In England as you are put up with assistance or spare parts?
In italy, is almost nothing, even in ducati dealers.
I live about an hour away from rimini, I arrived in front of the historic Bimota office but everything is abandoned, In the new home, there is almost nothing. No truck or staff.
In England some motorcycle magazine has dealt with the case in question? In italy, none.
He almost certainly failed or misses little in failing.

In the UK we tend to get parts made for us as best we can.
For a DB7 screen you'll need a company that makes motorbike screen then ask if they'll make a special - you might have to give them yours to copy.
I like Rimini and the area, I'll stay in Catolica for the MotoGP at Misano _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I have a standard windscreen for the DB8 if you want, that should fit the DB7. |

These guys do screens for DB7 and DB8.....with or without headlight cut-outs...different tints and road thickness or race thickness...a few have bought and found them to be good....will be cheaper than Bimota could ever sell....

Regarding Bimota....rumours often abound....yes they have moved....ejected from old premises for not paying the rent....new warehouse rented but no signs yet of any bikes being made....as always...nothing is said to the press unless its good news...always the best way...if you have nothing good to say...then its best to say nothing....We can all just hope.
As for "dealers".....cant think of any in the World...as bikes aren't being made....the last one we know that was made was ordered in October and only delivered last month...and may well have been the very last Bimota that came out of the old factory...a Tesi 3D that went to Australia.... |

For a piece that normalizes it costs 100 Euros, I will spend ten times as much.
Also, I do not know the plexiglass supplier.
Cattolica and the "Romagna Riviera" is gorgeous. "Emilia Romagna" is the home of the Italian engines |

You can not find anything in the web,But I know people close to the company, And all these people confirm that bimota is close to closing. |

There is a Tesi 3d naked new for sale in Germany I think, or there was last time I looked, no price though.
On the DB7 screen front I think Armin of DRT used to get some made in Germany somewhere but nothing on his site. Could be worth an email
