I heistate to post for the usual reasons but this DB2 (claimed SN#001) appears to be up for sale again.

Very reasonable price. I wouldn't let go of mine for such a paltry sum. _________________ 2013 retro Italian agricultural device

It appears to be located in Encino, CA, USA if the photos are any indication...and I know right where this is.
It is closer to TireFriar but if anyone is seriously interested in this bike, I could take a long look at it for them.
Let me know as I need to take the DB6 out for a ride anyway.
I wonder if he'd trade for my DB6??? Maybe my son's 1198??? |

Quikduk, this bike is about 5 miles away from me. It's very tempting. Last time I went to look at a Bimota, I walked away with the SB8R.... But I'd be glad to meet up with you for some coffee in the Valley _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Tirefriar,
That would be great.
I am presently stripping the DB6 to chase what appear to be some minor oil leaks as well as figure out WTH happened to my turn signals.

No worries. I've been very lazy at installing the tank on the YB10 after I had it lined. I have everything set up for the install except for the seal for the breather/overflow valve. Every weekend I make myself a promise that this is it but then something always comes up. Hopefully I can get 'er done in the next few weeks.
Good luck on getting your Bim sorted and hope to ride with you soon! _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

I've looked for one of these for years so was happy to find this one. Bought it, imported it into Canada just in time for winter so now it's sitting in my rec room on display till spring. Can't wait to ride the piss out of it and make it sing! Fine to be a museum piece for winter but bikes aren't made to be trailer queens or museum pieces, they're meant to be ridden and ridden hard. I've owned much rarer bikes and still do and ride them all. Took the Best Bike trophy at the Vancouver Concours with a hard ridden Norton that most certainly wasn't trailered to the show. It's great to see that judging seems to now grant extra credit for bikes that aren't trailer queens. I've crashed some, rebuilt them and rode them hard again. And loved every minute of it too. |
