Hi All. I'm working on a Furano race bike. The Ohlins spec Furano clamps are beautiful billet numbers top and bottom, however the problem is the the bottom clamp measures 53 mm.

I'm guessing the early Furano-851-works ow01 ohlins lower dimension must have been 53mm.

I've got a set of R&T Ohlins that measure 51-56mm that I want to use. The top clamp is fine, however, I need to find something Bimota that will accept the 56mm lower.

Machining the bottom clamp out to accommodate only leaves me a retaining band 4.27mm thick which is in my opinion not enough.

Are there any later Bimbos that ran Ohlins forks @ 56mm OD?

Eerily Bimota 41.7 mm triples all shared the same fork spacing and offset.

I'm hoping the same can be said about Ohlins carriages?

So I need to know which Bimota models run a 56mm lower triple, and if possible centres and offset measurements?

In the mean time I've got a set of RSS adjustable offset triples off an YZF750 R7, that could work, but I would like to keep this one as bimota as possible, and the R7 bits for the obvious.

Cheers.

I think the front Ohlins on the SB8K Santa Monica uses the 46mm lower clamp ( billet ) ???

Hi Trev, do you have the ohlins forks that go into the 51-53 clamps as well Very Happy

What era are they YB6 pattern, or later? I can post up pictures of the differences?

Thanks daotoys. I guess I'm on the lookout for a SB8R lower clamp. Anyone have one kicking around? Smile

Doubtful that the SB8R or Santa yokes would suffice.....they either used Paiolis or Ohlins....but crucially USD forks and not RWU.....so they may well be 46mm dia tubes...but the stanchions/sleeves would be way larger

Cool! I would hate to ask how much? Could you PM me your number, and I'll give you a call? Very Happy

2bims, I think daotoys was probably thinking 56mm?

Edit: I think my initial post caused the 46-56mm confusion Rolling Eyes I've edited out the reference to 46mm. I'm after a 56mm lower.
