Been running My KB1 race bike a bit this year, and beginning to get into the dynamics of the machine now, I have changed the set up a fair bit now, and the bike now feels lighter more nimble and really flies,
One area that is more of a worry is that the bike now develops steering shake as you switch on the power coming out of corners,
I have seen that the bike has connection points for a steering damper running across frame to centere of steering head to fork leg, I would like to source a damper and wondered if any track inspired kb1 riders have anything to say/help regarding this. |

Any short bodied Ohlins or similar dampers should do the trick.....theres plenty of options online on ebay for clamp sections of many diameters to fit your fork leg....either one piece ones or half piece ones that are easier to fit...no dropping of the forks needed....I'm not sure of the set up either on a KB1....you need to measure lock to lock the max and min dimensions of the fixing points...and thats the length of travel you need from your damper...one minus the other.... |
