So there I was , Friday 25th 10pm , day before the Classic TT starts and Mrs Vort is getting ready to go away for a girlie weekend with kids and suggests I look to see if I can get to the IOM for the Classic .
4 hours later (2am in the morning) and following a bit of frantic bike prep and packing I'm sat on the sea cat to the iom .
6.30am , and Santa is parked up on Douglas prom and its time for breakfast and to ditch the rucksack at the hotel

After a few laps of the course its back to the pits for a quick look around.

Very little going on at 8.30am on race day morning, racing started at 11am I think.

But it does give me a bit of time to look around.

Ah....................Pictures............Good to see....And YUP...I can also confirm that IMGUR is 10trillion times better and quicker to use than PukeBucket bribing gits site ever was.....Not one single Pop-up or advert whilst using...and they even "title" the correct link once a picture is loaded for "Forum hosting".....And now the caveat....if everyone starts using it and down the line it gets sold and we are again ..held to ransom.....I take no blame...and thankyou

Nice Pics Vort...you no longer banned now then eh?....Heard tell there was another DB4 tricolor and a DB2 over there also all the way from Sausage Land

Strange thing is I get the banned message when I use my normal laptop but not my desktop ???? God knows.

Only other Bimota I saw was a KB1 with Nige on it.

Awesome photos Stu! So many nice bikese amongst them by the looks.

Good effort to get there at very short notice after being given a leave pass. I wonder if Mrs Vort really thought that you'd actually go Laughing

So wish that I was close enough to IOM that I could jump on a bike and drop over. Love the pics

I thought you would appreciate the ZXR pic's . The Brittan was something I wanted to see in the flesh , and to think it was 1 mans dream is very impressive, some very innovative stuff on it .

As for Mrs Vort , it was actually all her doing TBH, I mentioned it as a bit of a joke, I could have a biking weekend whilst she was away. Next minute she was on the phone to the hotel, and had the ferry website on the laptop looking for a crossing. Other than supply my credit card she did all the organizing !! Shocked
That left me in a state of shock as I had no bike running due to the accident . The Vdue has blown the rectifier AGAIN , and Santa was in bits as one of the rad hose's was leaking. It was quite a rush to get to the Ferry , I was the last bike on !!!!
Bit of a whirl wind tour , but worth it .
As you say , good job I'm only 25 minutes from Liverpool and the ferry terminal.

Yep, like the ZXR's they always seem to be popular at the Classic TT. Lots of other nice bikes in your pics too, RC30, NSR, RGV to name a few.

I'm a number one Britten fan that's for sure. I have 2 of the pewter Baby Britten model kit sets, one built and one still in the box. Amazing man and an amazing story. Such a loss Sad

The evil twins! (just twice the trouble truth be known)

Cool photo's, loved seeing one of the Boost YZF750.

Nice to have photo's again actually. Photobucket are responsible for the decimation of 10 years of forum life all over the world. No one was spared. Hopefully Imgur approach their new position of power responsibly.

I've never been banned (well not from this forum...lol) but without fail topic notifications go into the spam basket, and when I click on the link, google claims the forum is a suspicious-dangerous link...Do you really want to go there?? Good question google lol.

There were some great bikes there, takes me back to my youth with RC30's , OW01 , 888 , etc. Just wish I had never sold my 888 now , but hey-ho , can't keep everything !!

2-strokes were also a treat. Strange thinG is in my 20's I had a few , RGV250 , TZR250 etc , but never really gelled with them. Now in my 40's I have this strange draw to one when ever I hear the ring-ting-ting. Maybe that's what a vdue does to you !! Turns your eye to the dark side !!
