Bimota DB2: Often regarded as last of the 'Golden era' Bimotas ..a perfect balance of power and power. Imported by me from Germany in late 2015. (personal property of the owner of a main Ducati dealer and engine serviced by them before sale)
Subjected to thorough recommissioning by myself full details of which can be seen in the forum thread below.

http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4462&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90

All to standard spec apart from:

- Exige Upgraded battery/starter leads
- CA Cycleworks coils
- Magnetti Marelli LiPo Battery (with remote LED Voltmeter) (plus charger for the above)
- Custom Renthal alloy (hard anodised) rear sprocket, new OEM front sprocket and new chain
- Oberon slave Cylinder
- Reinforced timing cover (Moto Luigi)
- 851 type dash incl oil temp gauge with CF dash cover (MPH speedo fitted) [Note original German Headlight unit fitted with beam diverter/mask)
- Carbon sprocket and cambelt covers
- Alloy clutch basket (New Ducati clutch pack (alloy plates) fitted only couple of hundred miles past)
- Stainless steel exhaust shield (Zircotec lined)
- NOS Brembo rear brake

Cosmetically it is as per original except for
- Relaquered carbon front and back mudguard/hugger
- Zircotek heat barrier to tank underside
- Ceramkrome coating on header pipes and collector box
- Part polished wheel rims (IMHO these really lift the bike)
-many new fasteners (incl OEM) incl Ti. Billet covers and Motocorse oil filler plug.

Age related (1994) 'L' registration

Make no mistake. The DB2 is everything (and more than) I expected with great handling and brakes; and even in standard form the 904cc engine produces great 'punch' in this lightweight bike (163kg) and is very satisfying.

I'm not off biking but I would get much more use out of a road oriented sport/tourer that I could get the wife on the back of (clearly the Bim is ruled out here). Only so much space in the garage so very reluctantly I'm looking to move the DB2 on.

Tool pouch incl some tools (incl eccentric adjuster) available. Also comes with original rear brake, clutch slave and speedo as well as an original Bimota stand (and custom pin adapters) . Ring Binder including original German registration papers, Bimota users manual and spare parts list are included as well as two original Bimota keys (one of which is in the all important leather key fob)

Available now in UK £10,000 (now on EBay @ £9850 or offers)
PM me if interested

I would be lying if I didn't say that my finger hovered over the 'Submit' button for several minutes but its probably for the best (and marital harmony)

I have edited my post to include the missing items..thanks for the reminder!!

Cheers Welshlamb...I was just trying to save myself further potential further efforts with any new potential owner of your bike...After 8 years on here now....I've lost count of numbers, albeit pdf emailed versions of owners manual etc, that I've sent to folk...but I have had a few repeats where new owners of bikes have come on here asking for same...and I know I had provided already to the previous owner...there just aren't that many Bims out there so I recall most of them.....

At least your ownership has added to the bike, with changes and improvements and helped to keep such great steeds running and cherished...which in itself is a testament to you and your ownership....

Spotted this advert today and have spent the morning searching the back of the sofa and pockets of old suits looking to raise the cash. When Mrs S returns later I'll ask if I'm allowed to max out a card or 2! Lovely bike!!

No change of heart!
I was delayed getting the advert drafted but just about there now. Will go live tomorrow. Would prefer to sell to a forum member (good home) and/or within this country (less hassle) but when all's said and done I want to sell it.

It does say open to (sensible) offers... So don't be shy!!
