Does anyone know where I can get some of the rubber straps that hold the fuel tank in place? Are they a common part off something else?

Not sure sorry Bud. On my sb6 and db4 the only thing holding the tank on is gravity and the moulded bodywork that fits so snug. I guess the yb is different?

That's the one! Thanks Brian. I was hoping it was a stock part.

I'll have to check the length. The bike's in the van ready for Round 1 at Wakefield this weekend, so I'll have to wait until next week.

I found a guy to make up a race wiring harness so that will tidy up a lot of the underseat and undertank mess.

Ahh good 'ol ebay Smile

Good news on the race wiring harness. I bought a race wiring harness for my ZXR track bike project which does away with everything but the bare essentials. In hindsite, i probably should have just made my own as i've had to modify this one anyway. I still have a bit more to add to the harness yet as the previous owner had no warning lights at all. I'm at least going to have an oil pressure light and for conenience and a neutral light. I'm thinking about keeping the side stand on the bike too for convenience, so i might put a sidestand warning light on the dash too.

Good luck for your next outing on the yb mate. Don't forget to keep us up to date.

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks, I think I found them in the UK which might be a bit easier to have shipped here on knowing what sort of bike used them too.

I used 5 or 6mm orings on my last build, worked perfect.
