Hello,
Would you like to buy a Zard system, which one is the best of the different variants?
A short explanation would be nice.
Greeting

Not sure what you mean by variants as all I have seen are the carbon silencer version. There are de-catted (no catalytic converters) headpipe versions but mine runs fine with the cats.
I have seen the Corsa brand titanium exhaust and they look very nice but I like my Zard.
Maybe 2bims will chime in as he has more experience and knowledge.

Hi there....As far as I know...there are only 3 after market systems ever made for the DB6....Squishy Carbon Zard (Italy)....Titanium Arrow end cans...and Japanese Titanium Moto Corse end cans/system.
The Db6 came out in 2006 and Bimota stopped making them in 2011....so at least 7 years ago so ultimately its whatever you can find that will limit your choice...maybe only 2-300 DB6's ever made...so not many specialist companies that made anything suitable.
The original cans are VERY heavy plain steel...and all alternatives are possibly 1/4 of the original mass...Moto Corse exhausts only from Japan and 2-3000 euros for a system...so cost an issue....Subito.it sometimes has 2nd hand Arrow or Zard systems for sale...circa 4-500 for the end cans only...it may be easier and cheaper to get some made...they all utilise the same original connecting bracket between the cans...Moto Corse are loudest...then Arrow...Arrow too loud really if you remove the removable baffles...Zard maybe the lightest and maybe the manufacturer will still make you some...I can provide contact details if you wish?
Zard normally only sell via ONE dealer per country...be it USA, UK or Italy...and sometimes its cheaper to go direct to the factory.....either way its $1200 minimum for their end cans only...yikes...

Some people fit a 2:1 system like this....which most exhaust companies could make

Just a word of warning, although the Zard DB5 , DB6 and Tesi cans all look the same , they are not. Not only do they have different separate intermediate pipes that go from the cans to the headers , the can stub pipe is also slight different on them all , I have tried !!!!!
Having also got standard,Zard and Arrow titanium cans across a few Bimota's I would say the Zard are the best note and level of noise . |

Two days too late.
I've been looking for a used Zard to fit a DB6 since October. Only found one that was sold before i could inquiry. So i bid on a new one for a Tesi last Saturday. Hoping it only needs a different bracket. Well, got it cheap voor 499,- pounds.
Welding a new link pipe won't be that expensive either.
Restoring my DB6 was more difficult than i first expected. I bought a bella that needed some TLC. Parts were quite difficult to get and rather expensive. This last setback won't kill my good mood. |

Hello, everyone,
I am pleasantly surprised that so many people are coming forward.
What I mean by different variations is that in the net you can make different statements.
Currently available for sale is the Penta slip on Racing without cat. But there's supposed to be a complete system with elbows, right? |

I made my own katless header version with ZARD slip-ons.

Very nice indeed....did you re-use the old system and simply "cut-out" the Cat on the front pipe and have a new infill link piece made?,,,,and then weld on some clips for springs to hold it together? |
