Registered to bid via telephone

Lodged my money deposit and got email confirmation of all authority to bid

Waited for the auctioneer to allocate a bidder on my behalf

Waited by the phone only for Coys NOT to phone or accept my bids

Would I recommend an auction run by Coys......I think not

Hope the Tesi 3D made the owner money.......but actions like this by the auctioneers makes me think that it might have made more

Regards

Gavin bidder number TBC

That's all a bit TOTAL pants.....even as of today they are still showing the auction to be "held" without listing the sold results....the likes of Bonhams and others normally update "live" on the day of the sale.....s'pose I'll just have to wait and see what and IF it sold.......Cant see what went wrong or why.....unless you had a bid lodged with a maximum....and other bids lodged topped yours....as that's where they start the auction price from in the room......but if you hadn't placed a max level they should have entered you into the live bidding.....thanks for the heads up though....will mean that come the day I certainly wont be using Coys to sell any of my bikes

Auctions like most things these days are not what they seem.

Have a friend that sold a house via a auction house. Had it on the market and got stuck in a few chains, sales never completed etc.

Anyway , put house in an auction , just before sale auctioneer asked if he was allowed to bid it up with false caller bids, my mate agreed , sold house for more than he originally had it on the market for, even including fee's !!!!

Got to be careful at auctions.!!

Did you phone in and listen to the auction taking place ??

Hello...........COYS were meant to call mid morning Saturday (day of Auctin)..they didn't

I called them and quoted my email authority ref to bid after they cleared/checked the debit card on Thursday.
By 2.30pm no call...it was meant to start at 2.00pm. Told that 'due to delays' it would start at 2.45pm and someone will call as it is lot 3 (303) but third in sequence.

By 3.45pm I called again...told it has been sold and someone more senior (from within COYS) would call me back...........still waiting.

Probably GOD was looking down (on me and my wallet ) as today the VYRUS was to be picked up and monies transferred......did not realise that the the purchaesers were a broker looking to flip it....probably for another 5-8k on sale price.

the VYRUS is an almost 10 year old bike....built at 81k euros and no way could stand any uplift of 5-8K on my price.....told then so

Brokers went back to London.......Vyrus still with me....Will have to contact those other 6 people who should interest...I hate Electrics, I hate Auction houses and I hate Brokers.

Gavin
