Hi all, SB6 number 01214 is back on the road with a new mot etc etc. The only problem now is the charging system doesn’t work. I managed to coax it to the mot centre and home again on the two new batteries recently installed but I wouldn’t want to go too far. Can anyone tell me if the charging system is Bimota or Suzuki ? Thanks in advance. Pete

It is likely that the coupler between the starter clutch and the generator has stripped. It will involve taking the starter clutch out and pulling the coupler and bearing off and replacing. About £100 in parts. Motor needs to be pivoted off its front mounts to be able to get the bolts out that hold the starter clutch cover in place.

Good luck!
