I had my shock refurbished as part of a bit of a spring clean. I also renewed the clutch and front sprocket. Anyway letting the side down a bit is this bracket, its steel and the powder coating on mine is coming off. Im looking into getting an ally one made up, if theres anybody else who has an interest in getting one at the same time then drop a reply. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I'm interested Boris depending on price. I need one for my DB4 too. I'd have to see if it's the same size res as the SB6. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Ok so 1 possibly 2
My reservior diameter is 51.25mm ... theres a slightly thicker band where the bracket goes.
If the DB4 bracket is the same then it might open this up othe Bimota models _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

DB2 Ohlins remote is 51.50mm....and I measure 50.7 on my Paioli remote on the DB4.....clamps are different...Db2 is full on solid milled billet piece with fine open end gap that tightens with 2 bolts......DB4 original piece is more of an alloy twin strap like you would have to hold an exhaust tail can to a hanger.... |

That is a ridiculously cheap price including shipping....Buy a set of 8 of them and they would make nice Napkin holder rings for Xmas day meal.......
Buy two of them and one end of each can be mounted where the existing bracket would mount....the cross rail under the seat....and then a simple drilled plate to mount across the other 2 mounting holes....that would hold the remote adjuster solidly |

Some pictures here of my current DB4 set-up....which has the original strap...albeit previous owner added a "drop-down" piece so presumably the knurled adjuster on the end was more accessible to twiddle with without taking the seat off....and last shot is standard set-up with an Ohlins unit....depending on the length of those Chinese brackets....they could well straddle and span the front and back rails easily
Standard Bimota fit with Ohlins unit
Previous owner of my bike changed all the fixing mounts of the tank/seat one-piece unit to allow it to be located easier (pushing onto threaded studs then securing with nuts....rather than trying to locate the holes/alignment....he also raised it all slightly as from "standard"....the tank/seat unit can rub and bear pressure onto the oval frame tubes...not an issue on the frame other than marks...but can lead to cracking at the critical points where the 2 touch....mine touches the frame nowhere now and sits on deeper rubber dampers |

That's $11 AUD and 8cents you owe me now Bri....Darn you....and I dont even need one....But....just in case mine snaps or falls off...I now have ordered a spare...Original unit only fits and holds with one bolt....so these should work fine also....if it turns up that is |

Thanks for the pics Steve. I also have 2 on the way . My reservoir is currently held on with shitty looking hose clamps (previous to me). _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
