An air filter will make things worse if not fueled properly. But you should do both at the same time imo Wink

Hello..............here is the graph

DB9 before_after by Gavin Robertson, on Flickr

As you can see the graph shows an increase over the standard issue DB9

The standard Diavel kicks out 162 hp according to the factory... which is 129 bhp on the X Bikes dyno (obviously horses in Peterborough are bigger than in Bologna)

So...in real terms the Bimota Walbro ecu and standard DB9 settings are about 1 hp up on the red bikes down the road

More importantly is the change in graph shape ....where I use the bike.

I very rarely push above 8500- 9000 rpm being somewhat mechanically sympathetic......... coupled to scaring easily.

Final figures were achieved using a K&N filter and no cat, however, since then I have added a Arrow Titanium exhaust and reset all setting, as well as wearing tighter trousers.

I hope that this helps

regards
Gavin

Richtea,

That friend (and I use that term loosely) is still very serious about DB9S.
But needs one or two issues answered to put his mind at rest prior to parting with the monies......mainly with regards to the SUSPENSSSSSION
If you get a chance, please email or PM

many thanks

Gavin

Hi Gavin,
Sorry itís been a while since I was last on here, and sorry in such a slow response to your question!
Yes,Iím loving the DB9s, itís certainly got its querks, however,on the right roads,in the right frame of mind, when giving it 100% concentration,itís an animal!
I can only describe it as Ďrawí....
The suspension is still firm, but manageable....on a smooth track,I think it would be demon! However,if I had the dosh,I think Iíd get an ÷hlins replacement for the rear, and tailor it as best as I could to the way I ride.
The fuelling is still a bugbear, not horrendous, but just on occasion ruins what would have been a smooth progressive line around a corner!
That said, it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it, and start it up!
Not a bike to be ridden at less than 100% effort!
Cheers
