Anybody has any experience / knowledge on changing the belts on a Tesi 3D? The way it looks I have to remove the chassis plate in order to access the belts? Just want to check before I do anything stupid... Embarassed

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Phil

Does it say anything in the owners manual ???

Given the way Bimota work I wouldn't be surprised if you have to drop the engine (I don't know for sure though)

I don't have any experience of belt changes on any of the Tesi range, but from changing them on my DB2, what looks like a motor out job can be done in situ. If you can access all the belt cover retaining screws, it requires very little space to get the covers out. The rear cylinder belt did, however, have to be cut to get it out. Access to the tensioners may be a problem with the Tesi chassis though. Crying or Very sad

Thanks for the reply guys.

@ Evilchicken - did you check out your Bimota's owner manual lately? There's not a whole lot of info in it! It doesn't even state the torque setting for the front wheel bolts! Leave it to the Italians when it comes to maintenance.

@ Geekay - what we (well, my mechanic) found out that it one can actually slide out the front belts by removing one of the bolts and the spacers (the rear ones weren't bad at all), so it's not too bad.

However, changing the front tire is still a 3 hour job! Shocked
