Finally got the SB6 I bought a few years ago running but the petcock is leaking. I am hoping to find a rebuild kit for it but I don't know what bike this one is from, assuming it's not an actual Bimota part. It is not a GSXR1100 petcock, at least not for any year model i could find. I tried the search function here and at Classic Bimota Parts but haven't found anything.

If it's the electric one that is on the 6R, I doubt you'll find a re-build kit, but all you need to do is to take it to pieces and replace the O ring seals and a fibre washer.

The SB6 has a vacuum fuel tap. You could try to or open it up and see if its an o ring that's gone or try a Pingle to replace it

My issue was the vacuum diaphragm was cracked. Someone on a US club racing forum pointed me to npr-carbs.co.uk , very clunky website but they have this: http://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=4228
I ordered one, waiting on it to come across the pond.

Update for internet time travelers with SB6 petcock issues: The rebuild kit from npr-carbs.co.uk arrived in about 3 weeks and is a perfect fit. 10/10 recommended.

Mine didn't have a tap fitted, it has some kind of disconnect. I'm going to modify a eBay SV650 tap to dual outlet to suit.

FYI....

This is the stock vacuum petcock

And in true Bimota form, the female coupler between the tank fitting and the petcock is 1/2 left hand thread and 1/2 right hand thread Shocked Shocked

Isn't that so you can hold the tap in the right position and just do up the nut Idea

Yeah i’d say that was the thought behind it. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to though

Fair comment - I tend to use a headtorch as well
