SB6R are exposed under the seat and parallel to each other...SB6 are fully under the seat and hidden...taper on the join towards each other for the end spouts only to exit from the rear of the seat unit....Far neater....if maybe it cooks ones arse?? |

The one I have here, the cans taper from the front to rear about 25mm.

Yep, thanks anyway. As 2bims says, 6R cans are similar but not the same as the 6. I could probably still use the mufflers off these so I’ll have a think about it. I’d prefer to not have to modify my original cans _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Nah, SB6 cans taper for about the last quarter of their length, so nothing will really transpose from sb6r to sb6.
Even got a picture for 2bims as nothing real without a picture .
Althought these are the race cans without the secondary silencer in the Y piece. |

The race cans have a bigger bore to the tail pipe too.
Could you get them copied, the taper on the can is hard to make. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Thanks EC, I couldn’t remember off the top of my head if the shape of the cans were the same as the above 6R ones or not _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I’ve just bought a couplete genuine Bimota SB6 race system, so I’m sorted now.
Not sure if I’ll have to re-jet the carbs or not? It still has a bit of a flat spot as it is with the stock exhaust. Might have to have a fiddle with fuelling once the the system arrives and I get it fitted. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
