Hi
The carb is probably easy to fix. They use a 32mm flat slide Dellorto (very similar to the 34mm one used in a lot of Aprilia RS125s). Oddly the carb floats slide up and down pins in the carb rather than pivot on a pin.
They are going up in value.
Big problem is the plastics. Those ones do not look bad, but they are not that thick or heavy duty, and go brittle with age.
I know of someone building a Vincent engined special using a CX125 front end.

Hi Katy,
The CX is finished but I have a bracket left over & i am not sure where it goes
& here is Bella finished & ready for rego.
I had trouble accessing my photo bucket account yesterday & that's why I deleted the post.

That bracket doesn't look familiar to me. Looks like 2x M6 bolts with a rubber grommet at the other end. Which suggests bodywork mount to me.
I will have a look at the parts list in a bit to refresh my memory
All the best

Yes I am struggling with it's location.
I have checked all the body work / frame connection points & it doesn't fit any of them. There are 10 locations for those connections.
I hope a "friend" hasn't pulled to old trick of putting it in the CX parts when in fact it is from something else. The 2 threaded holes are 6mm.

I have been trolling through the photos I took during the strip down & I just can't see it in any of the photos. |

Hello Katy,
Do you have a bracket like that that supports the throttle cable/oil pump cable junction box? The box has a tab for a bolt but on my bike it just lays in the engine bay, but possibly it should be supported on a bracket.

Hiya
No bracket to hold the throttle cable splitter on ours
I have had a look through the parts list and nothing like that
The other odd thing is that it appears to be a plated finish, similar to that used on a lot of Yamaha’s. Don’t recall anything on the Gilera that is that kind of finish.
All the best
