Yesterday when I looked at the linked page there was a photo of a well dodgy looking Bimota VIN plate, looked like it was over stamped? Today it's not there?

Spoke too soon, the VIN plate photo is still there. You just have to scroll further don the page. Still looks dodgy to me though or is it just out of focus?? _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

VIN plate looks like it is losing the protective top film - enlarging the photo of the VIN plate I can (just) make out that it is frame number 00027, as per the text. Stolen recovered? The fuel cap looks to have been butchered.
And it's missing the rubber boot that conceals the trip meter reset button. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

according to a friend who has imported several 250's from Japan, a shipping container is around £400 - £600. Import duty for a 250 is set at 8% - may be more for a bigger bike. List of duty payments can be found on HMRC website.
Also factor in handling fees at each end - not huge amounts but they all add up.
When it lands in the UK the calculation is
Cost of bike + shipping + handling fees + duty - add them all together and add another 20% for VAT.
Shipping agent should sort you a NOVA certificate which has to be done within 2 weeks of the bike landing in the UK or you get charged per day thereafter. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

Cost of shipping should include insurance set at a level you would be "comfortable" at if the ship went down.....value of bike would also include cost of the insurance also for tax purposes |
