So, there i was a week or so back, aimlessly trawling the internet and i accidentally buy another Bimota!!!

Another YB5 to add to the stable... I must say, since getting the other YB5 18 months ago, i am smitten with them..

The new one has 9,000 k's and hasn't been moved since 1999. It looks pretty good, the front indicators are wrong, but luckily i've been through that with the first one so i know what i need to do.

It has been bought sight unseen from Japan, hopefully it will arrive before Christmas.

I know you want them.... Here are a couple of pics...

That’s awesome Steve! It will make a nice Christmas present for yourself. At least you know it has the original iron brake rotors on it Wink

I too was watching this bike and had a limit on what I wanted to spend as Ive already bought a YB5 3 months ago, that limit was reached, [not by much] It was a good buy Steve. Anyway my next bike will be a DB2 or 4, one of those Japanese full fairing Redbro's maybe.

Fingers crossed she's good.. The master cylinders have been replaced and it looks like new tyres, the front indicators were a concern as it is where the fairing mounts, and this has plastic indicators... I have had a local toolmaker turn me up some custom mounts for my current YB5, so it should be simple to fix...

Smile The problem is... it's addictive, so much cool stuff over there...

I did this mainly to see haw the process goes, if it is painless, i might think about buying some interesting bikes and try my hand at selling a few and making some $$$$ Knowing my luck though, i'd probably buy some and just end up with a bigger collection!

That would have been funny if we were bidding against each other! The asbestos situation is my only concern, so i'm getting a Japanese mechanic to remove the brake pads, header gaskets and clutch plates before it is crated, our government is unbelievable...

I'd like to look at more modern stuff, but the paperwork seems over the top, so at this stage if i look for more it will be pre 89...

How is yours coming along, when are you going to share some pics?
