When I spoke to Aaron a few months ago [ Import Monster ] he said that next year things may change in importing vehicles under 30 years old.
The importing process is slow as I've not received my fairing yet... not that I'm stressing...
As for pictures... I'm a internet dummy... That process sounds way to hard... although I've mastered text photos. |

Hi Steve, after putting you onto YB5 no. 1 I’m shocked that you have added to your stash!! Just joking and seeing the lovely job you made on no 1 i know no 2 is in safe hands. I missed this one in my regular internet trawls, where was it posted? Didn’t see it on Yahoo.jp. Excuse me whilst I go off and cry! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

Hi Ralph,
i'm sure you'll get yours one day, yup it was on yahoo.jp
I don't know how you translate the site, but the shipping agent i use has the site set to search and it works well, this was listed as a yamaha yb5....
So maybe i was lucky that it missed being seen by people searching for bimota??
You have a PM.. _________________ Cheers

There is a YB5 listed here in NZ at carbon-garage.com, they want $18000nz for it, they had one listed 2-3? years ago for 10k but that sold fairly quickly so am thinking they priced this on the high side so there could be some wiggle room on that price. |

I went and had a look at the website because i knew they had a sold section but it's saying not found so can't check to see if you are right.
And i just double checked and it's saying on the ad that this is the second one they have seen in NZ, so maybe a different one. |

Yeah, I've seen that with 'Ducati DB2' listing.
Well at least missing this means we didn't fight over it (sounds like it could have been a 3 way contest!!) and my bank account stays in the black (just!)
Cheers and hoping your Bims see plenty of use over the upcoming Aussie summer (As we prepare for winter:( ) What's the latest on your 'Big Dry' It seems to have dropped out of the news here but even without forest fires its clearly had a devastating effect on wildlife and agriculture! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

Ralph, if i hear of one, you'll be the first i tell...
The drought here is devastating, we have just returned from a 3 week drive from Byron Bay back to Melbourne for photography, the country is tinder dry at a time when it should be lush, when we were on the central coast of NSW there was a bushfire a few kilometers from where we were based, Summer could be a very difficult time.. fingers crossed we have a good summer. _________________ Cheers

You've bought a ship????….Thats the best Idea I've heard for shipping out Bims and 2-strokes from Japan...just go and buy a ruddy ship...
I have heard said though...that the YB5 is a bit of a boat.....Teehee.... |

See, you are an ideas man Steve... buying a ship.. what an idea, lets get a few guys we'll all chip in and start buying in BULK
The YB5 is very un boat like, it is actually very nice and agile... Though after swapping and riding a mates YB11 while he rode the 5, i was amazed how roomy the 11 was... it must be why you now own these new fangled roomy Bimotas _________________ Cheers
