Had a nice ride last Sunday on the Dieci. Noticed that my temp gauge was not working properly. The needle was just at the lowest hash mark (not resting on the pin) but it did not go anywhere above that. During the ride, especially in the slower sections of it I could feel plenty of heat coming out of the fairings at which time the needle moved up to mid way through the entire sweep but fell back to its position at the lower line once I got moving.

Would it be safe to presume faulty sending unit?

Hi Tirefriar

I've had the same trouble in the past on a YB8 and a clean up of the connector at the rad sorted it out. The sender was fine.

Thanks Jonny. I have dielectric grease, will give it a go tomorrow. Cheers
