Dear all, my name is Roland and I'm from germany. I shortly got a DB2 in red/white. Not in best condition, but nearly all parts are together in a Box. Engine is well.
The plan is, to restore it this year.

I hope, if I've had questions, I get the answers here ...

As I'm also owning some Ducatis (900SS from 1991), the base tecnology from my new bike is not too unfimilar.

Missing PArts in the moment :
- Back seat Part No 5022701120
- plate between cluster and frame. Part No 502282130. A sketch would be sufficient.

I'm specialist in all kind of electric and electronic

Kind regards Roland

hope you can bring back to life that DB2.

About the plare, if you cannot find it, could consider make one (sheet metal cutting+bendind, machining).
(I m in the bussiness of mechanical parts and machines.)

Hi Rolli and welcome to the Forum...plenty of DB2 owners around on here....Obviously you have the Spare parts manual...as you have the parts numbers.....What "Tav/Page" are the parts on that you need so that I can identify them...otherwise I have to look at every page..Each page has a Tav/Drawing number with the pictures and then the description of parts....

I've done a full stripdown on my DB2 down to every single bolt and back up again so will be happy to help where needed...I also have the owners Manual I think on PDF...Workshop manual and electrical wiring diagram if you want them...

You can read more here on my DB2

Hi guys,
thanks a lot for welcome.

It would be very great, to get all those PDFs. Could you send it via Mail ? (Owners, Service, Spareparts and Wiring)

-> All those Partnummers I took out of this Link :
https://www.sfogliami.it/flip.asp?sc=k4m3it5rtuf8100hdpqxgmrtsgymt890&ID=117574#page/8

But this is only availabler online and not so easy to handle as PDF ..

Comming back to the Cluster-Plate. A drawing or easily a Foto would be sufficient. So I can cut it out locally.

Thanks a lot and kind regards
Roland

I have the clocks including the frame, which they are built in.
This frame has 3 attachment points, but the bimota front frame has only 2 holes. Therefore this plate (No 26 in the drawing) adapts from 2 holes to the 3 holes from the cluster frame.

I understand the 2 parts that you are missing now...its the flat steel plate under the clocks......not seen one for sale...ever...so to make one is perhaps the only alternative...I'll look through my archive of photos to see if I have a picture thats better than in the pdf spare parts manual.....as I have previously stripped the bike down and I fitted triple clocks from a Duc 851 so that I could fit a oil temp gauge in the clocks with a retro fitted thermistor in a changed nylon oil sump gauze filter shaft fitted into the engine.

The other part you need...well...……………….thats the riders rear bump stop pad....that has 2 number steel curved shafts in the back plate to fit into holes in the bodywork to create a "hinge"...and theres a key locking catch plate on the back of it that when you turn the lock in the rear seat hump catches the plate and closes and locks the vinyl covered sponge/plastic base in place

I presume you have tried Paolo Girotti of BimotaClassicParts in Italy...have you also tried Armin of DRT Schneider in GErmany or Rudolf of bimota-parts.de in GErmany.

IF...and I say "IF" I have ever seen one for sale in the last ten years its been attached to bodywork also for sale with it...never on its own...a most rare piece...Bu I can easily take mine off and photo and measure it for you when needed....as it could be fabricated from scratch...I'll put some pictures up when I next look thru my laptop archive

This is the plate you need...Paolo has it in stock....unfortunately no rear bump stop though...but he has your plate you need...no price though...it is better and quicker to message him on his facebook page...if you do facebook...he rarely answers emails sent via his website

Hi Roland and welcome to the forum. I’m planning on removing the fairing from my DB2 in the not too distant future. I could possibly remove the plate and trace it for you if you like. I could post the tracing of it to you in the mail so that you could get the exact shape and size made.

Hi Brian, thanks a lot for your offer. But in the meantime I made that plate by myself. It fits so far.
My DB2 is nearly ready for german TÜV.

Uploading pictures to this forum is a bit critical, so sorry for that.

kind regards Roland
