Were the workforce on their lunch break or camera-shy? Hardly a hive of activity Wonder what happened to those old body moulds? _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

You'll prefer this one then Paul...actual fabrication and "men in greasy overalls" if thats your bag....
Had to laugh at one element of pure "fabrication" showing the hand milling and manufacture of a bimota logo'd "oil Filler cap"...……..Clearly a petrol filler cap from the 1980's.....bit sad to try and include some 20+ year old archive footage like that

I’ve learned that the B logo frame bungs are slightly different for the DB4 and Vdue, they also used a different shaped cutter for the B logo

You say ones from a Vdue is it??? Didn't recall that they had any.....And just because its Bimota....the same "b" logo'd "bungs" that they inserted into the slash cut open carbon fibre clutch cover on the DB5R and DB6R also employed a different milling machine tip...instead of half moon rounded or V shaped pointed they went to square recess groove...Only Bimota eh?? |

Ive seen the Vdue frame caps for sale a couple times but never thee DB4 caps. In fact I’ve got 2 Vdue caps one one side of my DB4 and 2 originals on the other side
When I bought my DB4 one cap was missing. I found some spares with the help of Vort and 2bims which turned out to be Vdue caps... That’s when I realised there was a difference _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
