Quite simple really Bart.....I've owned 10 bimotas in total but ridden over 20 different Bimotas...and I've seen in the actual "flesh" at one time or another EVRY single Production Bimota ever made...with the exclusion of the SB2 and SB5...….some 46 separate models if you exclude Aermecchi...and the odd one offs...or exclude SR and S DB'series etc...I've seen a HB1 rep but not the genuine one
At the Mcr show in 2017 we had 36 different Bimotas on display....so was close to "having them all"...the only "copies" were 2 No. DB1's...although mine is up to DB1SR spec engine wise and the other was a DB1...we had a DB2 and a DB2 SR...and 3 Tesi 3D's but they were all different models also.
When C3PO was still around...we all tried to help Geekay piece together the bits missing in the rebuild....the bits of the bike came with a back wheel...but no cush drive and no sprocket or rear disc....I photo'd and flat bed scanned 1:1 images of Antera wheel cush drive and DB2 disc and sprocket carrier.....they fitted spot on with the Marchesini back wheel on C3PO....Geekay just then had to post off an arm and a leg to Armin in Germany who had all the parts so he could finally bolt up the back wheel....image as below link
http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3971&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75
I dont know everything about bikes...but try my best to do so with Bimotas...bit like a Student Doctor at College saying "F**k this..." and tears the page out on teeth and becomes a Dentist..... |

Strange that you say that.....when the size of our stand changed quickly from a 12x12m which we normally have to something like 27 x 18m...basically 3.4 X what we were used to I put out every feeler for any and every Bimota I knew about in the UK....and found a DB2FE...but bodywork was in for paint after an "off"...a DB2 half fairing....the owner was willing to lend it but he was away on holiday....and a DB2 Junior also....Coz the Db2 was my first ever Bimota...I was trying to get one of every DB2 ever made....DB2 carbie….DB2Sr...both we had there...so the other 3 I was after and if I had more notice on the space that came last minute...they could have been there |
