@2bims: where is the DB5R and the YB11? Do you have more than one garage? _________________ Cheers,

The milled, pressed or cast logos everywhere are cool...but the set screw to hold the frame/swingarm plate pivot bolt cover in place is a great little detail.
Nothing on Bimotas appear superfluous. Everything has a reason, even if it is just a bit or bobble...and these little details are everywhere you look.
I think Moto Corse comes closest to the factory with perhaps a few custom builders.
Sigh! I just love to sit for hours and look at the details. |
I often sit and look at my SB6 as the detail and workmanship is so lovely. The DB2 probably has more of the nice Bimota touches, bit still haven’t had time to go over it in detail yet.
It’s also my dream to buy a small lathe and mill one day and relive the early days of my trade. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

The YB11 was sold onto another on here before this photo shoot...DB5R and D6R still around...and in the background of 3 of the shots you can see the Db5R..... but they are post 2000 year wise and the magazine only did articles on pre-2000 Sportsbikes to try to keep it "in the real world"...no electronic gimmicks and sky high list prices |

My favourite is the Bimota "b" milled logo in the lower fork yoke on the DB6 beneath the headlight...you only see it if you clean your own bikes...And on the YB series theres a massive "b" and bimota on the horizontal frame brace under the tankseat unit cast into the alloy...again...you only see it if you strip your bike down |

I saw that logo when I went through the forks and thought..."COOL". |

You've only just seen it????...Are your roads swept with Ostrich feathers daily and it never rains..thus you've never had to clean your bike???...I swear they only put it there so that those that clean them get a special treat when they see it...They could have put it central...but maybe you'd miss it behind the brake lines...so its nicely offset on the offside to the sidestand...perfect...well...I suppose at least you now know its there...and I'll bet you point it out to others now you know if it |

Hhmmmmm...reveal the Top Secret hidden Bimota "b"....Hhmmmm…..I do believe they put that there just for Owners of the "b"ikes.....and as such...I'm afraid I'll have to show you JUST the visible "b"s that Bimota put in for the "mere" spectators...apologies...but to "b" in the clu"b" you'd have to "b"uy one first.....
Alternator cover...albeit this is an aftermarket item kindly made and sent Gratis by a very nice man on here...DB5R has one also....as they come in pairs like shoes or ear rings
Say what you see...Petrol cap...PErhaps the most beautiful petrol cap.........in the World....DB5R is a poor comparison
Ay up..seen these before...apparently theres some counterfeit backwaters fellow started making these recentlly....oh the shame...and for just 500 euros plus another 1,000 for postage that person could have bought a seconds version from Italy
Not a "b"...but the full Bimota...brembo caliper cast up by brembo with bimota in it instead...have such a oompany ever down this for any other company??? Dont worry...the dirty part has now been cleaned out...
Another example...Accossatto writing delirio on their own handlebars....they did this with DB5R accossatto levers....laser etching "bimota" into the front faces...clutch and brake both....
Theres a "feint" proud "b" in the carbon panel beneath the clocks...zoom in and catch it in the right light
Oh...and Koso put Bimota and "b" logo on their own clocks for Bimota also....
Nicely drilled bar ends to match the frame/engine mount bolts and nuts
You can just make out the "b" in the carbon beneath the clocks here
What?????? No hidden "b" on the lower yoke picture?? Oh Boo you.....I've told ya....ya needs to "b" in the club of ownership...What?...youre going to tear the world apart and say F you to all you meet???
Oh go on then...but just for your eyes only...as this image will self destruct within 12 Hrs of this post....Oh...I think its been on here before as I think it may also be in an image of my MotoCorse 2 milligram titanium Oil cooler cover post...So I'll have to revist that to check and delete as appropriate
Ah gotcha....Bet you thought I was putting a picture up didnt ya?????

Firstly, this one on a certain YB11 lower yoke that was sent to me in confidence..... you can barely make out the b logo through all of the splattered bug guts
