VIN tag states that this bike was manufactured by Rapid Motion - is that peculiar to the Australian market ? Were Rapid Motion responsible for making sure it was compliant? _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

I’ve never heard of them. Maybe who the bike was complianced through or imported by _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Old mate at Springwood has one as well that he has recently imported from Japan - it was on his facefart feed. Be interesting to see the condition and what he asks for it. This one might be a bit rich for me given you have to throw in the $1,000 to get it to Qld. Given the other one in Qld was on the market for years at $22,000 I wish them well. _________________ pkay

Actually the other one was only on the market for $22k for about a year or so. It was originally listed a few years ago at $29k _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Whilst it's pretty to look at, it won't be anything special to ride until the Anteras have been chucked away. But then you've got a bike that'll give you as much pleasure as anything else and probably more at that sort of money. _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |

As someone who can't afford to outlay $4k on a set of light wheels, and I've never had the pleasure of riding a bike with light wheels, I am quite satisfied with the handling on my SB6 with the Antera wheels. I appreciate that it may be much better with light wheels, but I don't know any different so it is what it is. The bike still handles and goes way better than I can ride it anyhow.

In saying that..... I'd still love to get a set of light wheels for my SB6 one day when I can afford such luxury _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I've got superlight wheels on my Laverda 750 (when I had them repainted I was amazed how light they were) and can't say I notice anything different - then again I am old and slow......... _________________ pkay

I will say I noticed a difference on my Katana when I converted to tubeless - knocked ~1.5kg out of the rear wheel, and ~800gm out of the front. |
