I say do it, reunite the pair...providing you don't have to sell the ranch to do it. The color scheme of the db6 kinda grows on you the more you look at it.

I'm having that same issue.....I'm kinda getting drawn in with its looks....And...its always handy having a spare bimota or 5 lying around....I've actually planned to pop over to George Clooneys Villa/Chateau on Lake Como in Mid August if plans go well....and this seller lives on the shores of Lake Como.....Hhmmm....Summer....Pretty Mountain and Lake background...Italian food and wine/beers and Bella Chicas everywhere.....How could one fail to be enticed....compared to viewing a motorbike in a dimly lit, dank, dark, cold wet garage in Scunthorpe, (Yes...there is a C**t word in there) England.....Or Grimsby....Or Dulwich….All genuine English Towns and then we have Hull...which is somewhere between Dull and Hell....

Como lago….Italia....con Nastro Azzurro....e belle figa …..and then theres "bella Pompino del bologna"...You'll have to google that one...I spent 3 years working for an Italian company....and was dutifully taught all the Italian swear words and phrases by a good friend....just so I would know if someone was talking about me in a bad way in Italian....coz they like to do that

2Bims....here are my thoughts

Will it make you happy
If you do not get it .....will it make you feel unfulfilled
Will you think about it every day
Will you wish you had it ....now

These are some of the trigger questions on the AA scheme for realising the stages of alcoholism

Same itch....different scratch

Buy it.......I’ll have a beer, when you’re ready

Regards
Gavin

Wise words Gav......And most strange of you to "post up" after my comments of "pompino del Bologne".....But old rules apply....What happens when overseas....stays overseas...….

I vote for buying this, then setting one of your guest rooms for the interior shrine. You could do a thick pile green carpet with tan edging. .

I voted to buy it as well, but maybe if you do set up a shrine you could do us all a favour and lock the door and throw away the key !!

Sorry but that is not a nice colour scheme .

I’m pretty sure I remember correctly reading 2bims stating he would officially declare his Bimota hunting days over if he could lay his hand on the DB5.....

Fellow Forum friends, we need to help our much appreciated friend here. I sence a case of addiction .... 🤓

No...I didn't...I already have a DB6R which I like.....and this "special" DB6 Borsalino is not really my colour scheme.....until the Borsalino DB5 black and gold turned up....I only had Tricolor Green white and red coloured bimotas.....The same seller also had an SB8R and Vdue for sale...apparently it was all owned by 2 brothers who had fallen out with each other hence the sale of all 3 bimotas...maybe they made friends again and cancelled the sales???

Sorry 2Bims, I just read the whole post. First off, congrats on finding the bike of your latest dreams. Second, when something rare comes within reach it is usually a once in a very long while opportunity and when it comes to Bimota its even more so. My thought is if the bike is still available, buy it. It already appears that you have the best collection of pristine RUNNING Bimota bikes perhaps in the world. An acquisition of a super rare Bimota, which is like rare beyond rare in the regular bike world, would not hurt at all and would make you happy, even if it was for a short while...until another one pops up on your radar Laughing

Have you not read the Black and gold DB5 Borsalino post? Or just not this one the DB6 Borsalino?

Heres the link to the DB5 Borsalino that was collected in March this year...and now happily in the UK and Registered

Thanks for the link 2Bims. I actually missed that part about you finding the Borsalino, so congrats and thoroughly enjoy. I love that swing arm, the details are amazing. It would look perfect in a hight end watch store.
