Hi Oily
Wee accident, which broke off one of the lugs to which the foot-peg carrier bolts. _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |

They do weld back on easy enough and then dress the weld a bit with a dremel or the like |

I've read it's curtains with a lug off. Have you had one done? Any recommendations as to who might do it? _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |

I'd have tought it was just an alloy weld. It's not critical to the frame dimensions.
Try Psycle Works or frame makers like Spondon, Harris, etc or try an alloy welder in your area. they'll be able to cut a lug for you but you'll need the footrest hanger to position it. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Not a foot peg lug but a lower engine mount lug on my first SB6
It was still going strong when I sold it 5 years later |

Thanks for your input Guys. I've taken a closer look at it and it looks as if the lug that didn't break has already been welded before. I'll get talking to some welding boys.
How's that new motor of yours going Oily?
I had a cracking run up to your neck of the woods yesterday to see my Mum - Stourbridge. Motor was running great before I made my assault on the asphalt _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |

Not started it at all after I took it off the bench. First thing I discoverd is it's got to go back on the bench so I can do a mod to the side stand (amazingly)
