Sunday August 25th saw 2bims and myself brave the unusually hot weather to represent the Bimota brand. We might have had only 3 Bimotas between us (my DB1 and YB6 Exup and Steve's DB2) but we picked up the Best Club Stand award! Chris Duke joined us for the event with his Guzzi. It was a great day out at a lovely venue (they put on three shows a year there) and the weather was glorious, though 2bims suffered by forgetting to wear something decent under his leather trousers so had to plod (sorry, squelch) around all day in his leather trousers and boots as the temperatures hit 30 deg.C !
Apologies for the quality of the photos, tricky (for me) to photograph an etched glass trophy. _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

A few more pictures, I didn't take many, just happy to be chillin' and chattin' to the many people who were drawn to the Bimotas!
Lovely Ducati 750 sport and MV twin
Sweet Ducati 50

Cheers for the pictures and posts Paul......it was a good day.....apologies for not sitting around the Bims like I may have done in the past....it was just too hot.....and....Chris was "off the leash" without wifey so I kept him company and wandered around as there was lots to see there....a benefit of the weather bringing out collecters and their prized toys....plus I made many visits to drink from the taps in the toilets....the water in the taps was colder and more refreshing than the luke warm "chilled" drinks sold by the vendors...cheapskates never switch on their fridges until the start of the day...plus...inside the Hall itself it had air conditioning and shade and VERY cold drinks indeed...I Nearly cracked into buying Nastro Azzurro chilled beers to match my DB2...or Stella Artois cidre….which was also very tempting.... |

I believe he did, from an enterprising soul whose recently acquired stock made enough profit for a decent chinese later _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |
