several 80s Bimotas had 300mm full floaters fitted. They were also fitted to Ducati 750 F1 and Laverda sfc1000. I'm looking at getting a batch made in UK by a leading Ducati race specialist (i've seen his 280mm version and its a faithful copy of the original) . If bimotas have the same problem as the Laverda then the disc carrier wears and you get a lot of slop in the floaters.
Anyone interested in purchasing either carriers or complete dics (complete discs maybe £170-190 ea)

As an alternative:
I had custom made discs made for my DB2 from ISR to original measures. They make custom measure discs one by one, so no need for a batch. Delivery time can be a bit long, but the result is excellent. Price was about €400 for two discs a couple of years ago.
I can really recommend them!

I had a pair of special fitment Brembos made up with different offsets a 6 bolt Honda fitting and a 296mm Yamaha dia.
Mode Performance did them http://www.modeperformance.co.uk/
They're not the same carrier pattern as the Bimota / Ducati 916 stlye but they're pretty close
Opps they were £390 pr _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
