Yeh...the inside of the headlight unit lens was a bit milky cloudy...fortunately the headlight bulb holder is old skool LARGE...so once you remove it you can actually get inside to clean up the lens.....I've been known to use artists paintbrushes in the past to remove cloudiness from the inside of units.....brushes with plastic handles that you can bend with heat to be bendable to reach all inside faces of the units

I did the same with the twin round headlights on my SB6. They were very foggy, but cleaned up like new

Looking great 2bims! Nice work on the hand cut stickers too. The mufflers came up really nice Cool

Its a new Plasticote paint I've been trying...Chrome plate finish...initially very impressed....No words on the can as regards heat proofness...so the test of time will tell...the end cans dont really get too hot on a two stroke anyhow

Cheers for the plaudits on the hand cut urinating boy sticker...it did take me friggin ages...but I managed to retain it as a one piece unit.....then stuck it on....I wouldn't have tried a second time

Yeh...I've done a few units...thinking it was ageing of the glass/Perspex lens...but no...just a build up of fogginess that doesnt clear without wiping it...The DB4 units are the hardest to do as theres only a small holes to access the sealed beam unit from one side only when the bulb is removed...hence using artists paint brushes which I heat with a hair drier to bend the plastic stems so I get better reach inside

Cagiva Super City Lucky Strike rendition is coming along nicely.....got fed up waiting for my buddy "Sticker Steve"....whos gone AWOL.....poor thing has been sitting in the dining room for 3 months naked...waiting for him...So I'm trying out "Sticker BillyBob"....whos sticking to his time table and progressing nicely

Little Boy widdling on "4-tempi"....4-strokes in Italian is on the red wrapped Front brake airduct/scoop

Wrapped rear panel fitted up with "period" naked lady Lucky Strike colour Cigarette card adhered to it...the most subtle place I could find

And for the Boys out there...a close-up....not Real nudity as its "artistic" and not a porno photograph...Christ...we have to be so PC nowadays....

Would look good on a white polo T-shirt for the bike show?

If you dont like that one...these were considered for the side panels...but may limit the market come resale time whenever that comes

Battery...which is part exposed when fully clothed is now stickered up with the Cagiva Elephant as she would have been from the factory

Front mudguard part way through transformation....needs the back part wrapping in black satin

And....I've decided that the Agip Fuels logo would be nice to be added, so thats going on also

A very kind fellow on here gave me a tinted but clear spare screen...the original was plastic and all painted metallic green...so I masked off the back of this with a scoop....spray painted in Matt black....which then shows gloss black through the front face...same as Bimota do with their screens...then I myself wrapped a white number board and put on the Agip sticker....

New Hand guards, lever protectors have gone on

The recently refurbished Expansion header pipe...that was stripped...rust proofed and treated...then barbecue satin black painted...heat cured...and then 750 degrees Celsius Lacquer sprayed on and heat baked again...is now back on the bike

Similarly the twin "shotgun double barrel end cans" have had similar treatment but in chrome paint, and then lacquered...are back on the bike

Still trying to find somewhere to put this....but will wait until the bike is fully back together...sometimes "less is more"

Battery has been changed in the clock and now shows correct time....and a Km/H to MPH mechanical speeedo converter gearbox has been fitted...so the KM/h clocks will now read in mph

She'll be at the MCr Bike show on the UK 2-stroke Stand...unless we have residual space on the Bimota Stand...in which case she'll switch camps...afterall there is a Bimota link as Tamburini designed this bike....purportedly the worlds first production made road going Supermoto...Gilera Norwest came out in the same year as the SuperCity….1991....Cant wait to get the panels back and bolted up...its 20minutes away from being a rider again...

They are....takes you back....they require a bit more thinking to keep in the power zone.....getting them off the line etc....so not a lazy mans bike to get the best out of them....but keeps you within your limits because of their limits...If I'm feeling lazy...I take the car...I might have just bought my 5th 2-stroke....Oops....British winter is dragging on a bit and I'm bored...need another resto project....once supercity panels are collected its only 20mins to bolt her back together....it'll probably take longer to get her out of the dining room and fill her up with fuel

Actually I just remembered I do have a 2 stroke in the shed.... a Rossi Repsol replica from way back when... haven’t ridden it for a while but it is quite a lot of fun, but can be a monster if not treated with respect ✊

I’ll have to see if I can find a photo
