Hi Guys
I have a 2000 SB6R that I have never managed to get to run right. With the vacuum pump conected it always fueled up and stopped running after a couple of minutes of slow or town riding. With the pump disconected it ran ok above 6000 and idled great but miss fired, staggered from 1500 to 6000 with worst running around 4000. I have gone up on size on the idle jet and lifted the needles as far as they will go and this helped a lot but the bike is still rubbish to ride in most situations. Have you any thoughts or remidies I could try. I've owned the bike from new and done 32,000ks on it. |

The only way I could get mine to run was junk the pump then I had it set up on a dyno
If you want the carb settings, let me know |

Have anyone tried to fit a low pressure (carburettor type) electric fuelpump on a SB6 (-R)? This will provide a steady pressure of fuel and can be fitted inside the airfilter box! Suzuki RF 600 and 900 has a suitable pump. (The electromagnetic fuelcock electric supply could provide power to the pump as well.) Only thing is that for safetyreasons, the pump should stop if the engine stalls/stops with the ignition on. But for testing a electric pump the fuelcock powersupply should suffice.... _________________ HD: The best way to convert petrol into noise without the side effect of

The tank is above the carbs so you don't need a pump - the SB6 and GSX-R don't use them just a vacum fuel tap. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

For the SB6-R the tank is different and the reason for the electric pump suggestion, was that the pump will supply a steady pressure regardless of the inlet vacum and the amount of petrol inside the tank. It will widen the range of the R`s tank as the tanks lowes parts could be "emptied". _________________ HD: The best way to convert petrol into noise without the side effect of
