Haha no mate, I’m no photographer that’s for sure. I think it’s the content that makes it look good _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I think these are from "DB1860"...maybe because his DB1 has a Big bore kit in it>??...Anyway....someone emailed me some pictures….so here they are
I wondered where this yellow DB4 ended up....thought about bidding on it myself...I like yellow
Clearly a lover of Ducati engine bikes....cant say I blame him
And the big yellow in all its glory....lovely
Nice pipe also...is it just flatslides and end can or 944cc big bore kit also?

And...finally...after 7 years...I finally get to hang up my Bimota banner in my pitifully sized Man cave....more of a squirrel box....but it is what it is.....Small but full of goodness and beautiful inside.....kind of the opposite of me....

I haven’t seen the yellow DB4 before, it looks good. Moto Corse did some nice bikes, is this an original Moto Corse? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Oh... sorry Steve I forgot to give you my Forum name... A bit of detective work required there. Yes the db1 runs a 780 big bore kit with a 900ss crank taking it to 865.3 cc. I'm waiting for my mate to open his shop back up to get the valves adjusted [ I hope that's all it needs] just before shutdown I put some octane boast in and gave it heaps on one of our local scratching roads. That was fun... the bikes so light...
I thought the DB4 paint job was a one of, but i found another one for sale in Russia with the same slipon and it being two frame numbers different... I wonder where they where painted?
I'm not sure its got a 944 kit... the heads and barrels don't look as though they have been off...but you never know ... the mechanic may have been careful with his goop.
Its not registered yet, as it didn't come with an compliance plate... there a few" more" hoops to jump through.

Looking at it again, it doesn’t look like it was done by Moto Corse and they usually brand they’re makeovers with a ‘C’ as in DB4C. This one may be a Redbro bike? Redbro bought a lot of the unbuilt DB4 stock from the factory (when it closed its doors early 2000’s), and built a number of ‘Specials’. Although it doesn’t look like a normal Redbro bike either. Someone more knowledgable than me might chime in with some info. Either way it’s a nice looking bike and the Corse can is very sort after. I see the original Bimota (crappy) plastic fairing has the obligatory cracks beginning _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Thanks for that Brian.
Yeah I'm surprised at the extent of cracking for such a low km bike... maybe it wasn't fitted properly by the previous owner... as from what i can tell there was a spacer missing from underneath the nosecone. |

Just really poor quality plastic I think, particularly on these DB4’s. The seat/ tank unit is fine as it’s fibreglass. I’ve done some half assed repairs to my DB4 fairing but it’s cracking really badly now, to the point that I’m not sure if it’s worth saving. I’m planning on buying a fibreglass reproduction fairing from Greece _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
