Tirefriar, if your 10 has the suicide stand, this would not be a direct replacement. However, it could be used to convert to a non-suicide stand.

If you’ve already got a non-suicide stand, this would fit but, as Atomibart says, you’d want to compare its length with what you’ve already got. You could always get your original re-chromed.

Thanks Jonny. Problem is that I live in Kommiefornia where most chrome plating businesses were regulated out of existence. The Dieci has a suicide stand, would love to get rid of that feature. Wink

Tirefriar, you can convert to a non-suicide stand and I’ve just done it on my 8 - why I waited this long I’ll never know! First step is to source a stand like this - I can talk you through the rest - have you got access to an angle grinder for making a small bespoke bracket?

Simple enough to do mate. You just need to figure out how to get the stand to ‘over-centre’ so that the spring tension holds it in the down position. Usually just a matter of moving the top fixing point of the spring. I’m not familiar with the YB’s

The YB will be a little different as the spring is on the inside of the stand from memory, but this might help to visualise it....

In self retracting configuration, the spring is pulling the stand back up as it is secured to the right of the pivot..

After the modification, the top of the spring is secured to the left of the pivot, so it now ‘over-centres’ and holds the stand in the down position
