I had a similar issue with my YB7. NEEDED THE SEAT bolts.
I found some shouldered bolts on eBay.
These are construction bolts. They have a cap head (hex). Then it goes into a shoulder that is thicker than the thread. I think the shoulder on mine was 20mm but it was the right size for the YB7. Then there is a shortish thread. In my case 16mm.
The bolt length and shoulder come in different lengths.
I had to machine the shoulder a few mm and then I put a taper on the socket head.
The bolts are a few Bucks but way cheaper than Bimota spares. I think I got them on eBay, but any good bolt supplier can supply. Plenty of on line catalogs to find what you need.
Material is hard steel. |

Shouldn't be an issue....they fit into proud sockets with flanges....and....you should have as standard a double layered as heat baffle unit that covers the link pipes |

I have a friend in Aus that makes 'special' bolts, fasteners, spacers etc as a hobby. He mostly use titanium but can use steel, alluminium, titanium etc. He also has the rotary broach to do the in-hex. I'll bounce it off him and see what he could do. |
I've no idea what the rotary broach is Brian....but lets see....I presume you have the same plastic/nylon bolts on your Junior? |
Yep, my Junior has the original plastic fasteners. |
Ok.... so I thought my DB2 J had plastic fasteners.... on closer inspection I’ve found that they are indeed black anodised ALUMINIUM! I’ll post a couple photos in my Junior refresh thread

These should be the same as the ones used on the exhaust of a SB8R?
IF so, I would be down for some as well. _________________ Bimota (Tesi 1D 904SR, DB2, DB4, SB6,SB6R, SB8R, SB8K Santa Monica) Ducati (1000SS, Monster S4, 999R) Aprilia (RSV Mille R Haga) Honda (CL125s and 70s Chopper) |

Hi, Im a couple of days behind on this due to other work at the moment around the house! Will post up a dimensioned drawing for you to check. In any case I’ll have to get a quote for a reduced number as not enough takers for the originally discussed batch size. _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

My end cans and down pipe 2into 1 into 2 connecter isnt standard...but still space for the baffle plates....they fit between the seat rails....but...If you have 150mm dia piping then maybe yours went by the wayside |

as I said mine isn't standard and are 2 large diameter pipes - no Y piece. Only 1 layer of the baffle plate will fit and the pipes sit 8mm below it in parallel - that's why it all gets a bit warm when your out on a decent run. _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

here you go Jaguar. (Nb there will be a 1mm 'band' at the base of the screw's head ie the taper isnt the full 4mm depth if that makes sense) _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

an aside from the seat bolts but could Zircoflex sheet be your friend here?
