Well a new Bimota will be joining my collection soon, i just bought a lovely YB7 Smile

This makes 4 bikes i have bought from Japan since October 2018, so that is averaging 1 every 2 months!! I need to stop, but browsing what they have for sale brings up a treasure trove of stunning bikes..

I only discovered the YB7 on Wednesday when browsing, i also found a stunning 1995 Triumph Super III with 35,000 k's on the clock... So 2 bikes i'd love to own, i wrestled with what to do for a couple of days and decided no, i wont buy either of them.. i already have enough bikes, and most of them will require work over the next 2 years, so better to focus on getting the new YB5 sorted and the 2 laverdas running... Great... Decision made.

Friday morning, the day of the auction, i decided to contact my import agent, just to check if he could bid at the auction, it wouldn't hurt to ask the question. SO i sent the email, then spent the next 3 hours running around working, i checked my email to see if he had replied but nothing, so i sent a reminder.. in 10 minutes i had a reply, they couldn't bid on the Triumph, but could on the Bimota, but bidding ended in 30 minutes.... SO on a whim, i thought, why not, so i gave them a maximum amount that i was sure wouldn't win the auction, but you never know... 45 minutes later i get an email congratulating me on my purchase... oh Shit... now i have to tell the Mrs!!!

The YB7 is a rare Blue/White version with only 6,500k's and looks to be in great condition. The only thing i'm not sure about is the aftermarket muffler, i'll see what it looks like in the flesh before deciding what to do... but if anyone has a spare YB7 muffler please let me know Smile

Now all i need is to stop browsing the Japanese bikes for sale....

No more bikes this year.... unless a Moto Corse SB6 turns up Smile

Congrats (I think). You may be looking for a place to sleep, but hey, when a great deal comes along, it’s hard to pass it up. As you say, very rare in this paint scheme, only 16 made according to the Sarti book. Very nice

Great color combo. I’m with you on the muffler. Congrats and enjoy

I was in the same boat on this bike. Thought about it a few time but decided against it as it would mean ' another ' set of leathers !!!!!! Laughing

Are spanning your Bimota Horizons to pre 1994 now Vort?....and dipping into the 80's? Based presumably on the assumption Tesi3D naked and BB3 were sort of the last of the last...excepting DB11/DBX?....I think I'd prefer a YB7 to any other YB's...think it would be a cracking fun little rocket....Only other YB I like...other than 2-stroke racers....is Lammies painted and tweaked YB9.....And I dont see any sings of him selling it or even signs of Lammie either....He last posted on here once in Early Jan...and then it was October before that...Where are out thy Lammie? Oh Master of the YB's??

Bimota's sort of multiply by themselves . Always amazes me how you open the garage one day and another has just appeared !! AS IF BY MAGIC !! Unbelievable !!!!!
I think they just have an undesirable urge to herd in my garage !! I can't help it !! What can I say !! They love me !!

Well at least thats what I tell Mrs Vort.!!!!!

YB7 , Hmmm maybe , probably a bit small for me , and a few to little cubes , but a 600cc motor would sort that I suppose . But a blue one !! NO SIR !! that would completely mess up the Feng Shui of the garage !!

Hi, have you still got the YB7 and did you ever get an original exhaust?
